Discover its older history when it was the door to the outside world during Japan's isolation between the 17th and mid 19th century. See one of the most magnificent stone bridges - Meganebashi. Visit the nearby Kofukuji Temple, founded in the first half of the 17th century by a Chinese monk. Kofukuji is one of the most important Chinese Buddhist temples in the country. No visit to Nagasaki is complete without honoring the victims of the atomic bombing and appreciation of world peace in the Nagasaki Peace Park, where numerous commemorative memorials are located. End your Nagasaki shore trip excursion by checking out the scenic views of this port city from Mt. Inasayama.
